Mineral Museum came into existence on Akshay Tritiya, 26th
April 2001.

- Conceived by Mr.K.C.Pandey – a passionate mineral
collector and an enthusiast in his goal – the
collection is marked from last 27 years of his
patience and consistency.
- “Gargoti” through meaning flint stone in Marathi,
the local language, is the reference given to these
world’s spectacular and marvelous Zeolites.
 Theme of the Gargoti Museum is the aesthetic
beauty in the minerals of mother earth. We have
focused on the crystalline structure of the mine. The
vividity of Indian Minerals truly represents the
multi-faceted & multi-dimensional vast culture of
India.

THE MONUMENT IS CLASSIFIED INTO
TWO GALLERIES VIZ. The Deccan Plateau, showing the
best national Zeolites and The Prestige Gallery
displaying the best national as well as international
collections.
The stupefying Indian Zeolites
that spell bind anyone have been displayed here to
prorogate introduction, applications, education and
awareness amongst we all.
- This museum focuses mainly from the minerals of
Deccan Plateau mostly Maharashtra, but we do have
quite substantial collection of precious &
semi-precious minerals around the world.
- This museum is the only museum in the country
which houses such a vast collection of crystalline
minerals & owned privately. This was the
pilot/proto project for planning a huge museum of the
natural history in Shirdi, Ahemednagar , Maharashtra.
Gargoti Minerals (India) Ltd. is the future project of
